Hi mate

Question:

A particle is thrown vertically upwards. its velocity at half the max height attained is 10m/s, then the max height attained by it is

Solution

v² = u² − 2gh

For maximum height v=0 and h = H

so 2gH = u²

again at half of the height

(10)² = u² −2g(H/2) ⇒ 100 = 2gH − gH

∴gH = 100 ⇒ H= 100/10

=10m

∴ 10m is your answer
