The function given in your question is an absolute function and hence to integrate it , the function has to be splited into two parts in the limit range.
First part - For which the value offunction is negative which in our case in the range 0 to 3/2 , but we know displacement is never negative , therefore we neglect the range of the limit
Second part - For which value of function is positive which in our case is 3/2 to 5
