Speed is a uniform , and speed is a scaler , so irrespective of the direction it is same . Hence speed change = 0
Velocity is a vector so we have to follow parallelogram law or triangle law of vectors , and this is the triangle law to show direction and parallelogram law for numerical value.
Hope you got it , sayonara

Dear Student,
◆ Answer -
∆v = v
● Explanation -
Change in velocity of particle is given by -
∆v = √(v1^2 - 2v1.v2.cosx + v2^2)
∆v = √(v^2 - 2v.v.cos60 + v^2)
∆v = √(v^2 - v^2 × 0.5 + v^2)
∆v = √(v^2)
∆v = v
Hence, the change in velocity of the particle is v.
Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
