Answer :-

4N

Given :-

  • Angular velocity (ω) = 20 rad/s
  • Mass of the body is (m) = 0.5 kg
  • Radius of circle = 2cm

To find :-

  • Centrifugal force

SOLUTION :-

As we know that ,

✪Centrifugal force = mrω²

where ,

  • m = mass
  • r = radius
  • ω = Angular velocity

As they given radius in "cm" we shall convert into "m"

1m = 100 cm

1cm = 1/100 m

2cm = 2/100 m

2 cm = 1/50 m

Substituting the values

Radius = 1/50 m

Centrifugal force = (0.5)(1/50)(20)²

= 5/10 × 1/50 × 400

= 5/(10×50 ) ×400

= 5/500 × 400

= 1/100 ×400

= 400/100

= 4N

✪So, Centrifugal force acting on the body is 4N

Given :-

Angular Velocity = ω = 20 rad/s

Mass = m = 0.5 Kg

Radius = r = 2/100 = 0.02 m

Centrifugal force => It's a force which acts when body is moving in circular path.

F = ma

F = mω²r (Centrifugal acceleration = a = ω²r)

F = 0.5 × 20 × 20 × 0.02

F = 4 N
