A particle of mass M is thrown horizontally from the top of a tower and another particle of mass 2M is thrown vertically upward. the acceleration of centre of mass is ?

Dear Student,

From Distance = speed x time we know that,
R=v.t

For both the cases, h= -0+gt2/2

=>t=√(2h/g)

 

R for the second ball = v/2.t = R/2 = 125m


keerthi23: actually i wanted the acceleration of center of mass.the right answer is 'g'. but I'm not getting how to get this answer
