Given :-

★ Initial velocity, u = 5 m/s

★ Acceleration , a = 0.5 m/s²

★ Time, t = 4 sec

To Find :-

★ Distance travelled by it in the first four sec

Solution :-

We know,

equation of motion __

\blue{\boxed{\boxed{\rm S=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^{2}}}}

Where,

u = Initial velocity

a = Acceleration

t = Time

S = Distance

Substituting the values, we get __

⟹ S = 5 × 4 + ½ × 0.5 × (4)²

⟹ S = 24m

Hence,

Distance travelled by it in the first four sec is

= 24 m
