Answer:

  • LET TOTAL WORK BE (LCM OF 20 30 40)THAT IS 120
  • THEREFORE ONE DAY WORK OF ASHA USHA AND NISHA WILL BE
  • ASHA=120/20 i.e 6 PER DAY
  • USHA=120/30 i.e 4 PER DAY
  • NISHA=120/40 i.e 3 PER DAY

NOW ITS GIVEN THAT INITIALLY ASHA STARTS WORKING ALONE AND COMPLETES 10% OF THE TOTAL WORK THEREFORE ASHA WILL COMPLETE 10% OF THE TOTAL WORK IN 2 DAYS (10%OF 120 IS 12 AND PER DAY EFFICIENCY OF ASHA IS 6 ∴ 12/6=2  DAYS)

  • NOW ASHA AND USHA WORKS TOGETHER FOR 3 DAYS 10*3=30
  • LEFT OVER WORK 120-(30+12)=78

NISHA WILL COMPLETE THIS WORK IN 78/3=26 DAYS
