A particle travels half of the distance with velocity Vo . The remaining half was travelled with V1 for half of the time and with V2 for the half time . Find the avearage velocity for the complete motion.

For the distance x let the time taken is t0.

Remaining distance particle travelled in two equal intervals t, therefore 2t will be time taken by particle to cover remaining x distance.
