A particular atom having atomic number between 22 to 30 has magnetic moment equal to 3.73 BM. Then find the atomic number of the element which is just below it in the periodic table. Also predict the group number, block and Period of the former element.​

The electronic configuration of the element with Z=33 is

1s²,2s², 2p⁶, 3s²,3p⁶3d¹⁰,4s²,4p³

Since the element has its valence electrons in the p orbital, it is a p block element. Moreover, since there are 3 electrons in the p-orbital, it falls in the same period as that of nitrogen. Hence, it belongs to the group 15
