this phenomena is due to inertia....
as the coin is tossed at the time when it is in air train moves forward but coin remain at same place
i.e. coin is left behind to the thrower...
here when coin is in air , it is in intertia of rest in horizontal direction....

The train is in accelerating motion and thus it changes its speed however the coin moves with the same speed as a result it falls behind him
