We have,

Length of rectangular plot=30m.

Breadth of rectangular plot=20m.

Now,

Area =Length×breadth

Area=30×20=600m

If the path is all round the rectangular plot.

Then It’s length and breadth will increase.

So, the length of path

=30+1.5+1.5

=30+3

=33m.

Breadth of the path

20+1.5+1.5

=23m.

Area of the rectangular plot along with the path=l×b

Area=33×23

=759m

Therefore, Required area

=759−600

=159m
