●Inside

Outside area = 26 × 26

$= \: 676 {m}^{2}$

Inside area = 26-1-1 × 26-1-1

= 24 × 24

$= \: 576 {m}^{2}$

i. area of path = Outside area - Inside area

$= \: 676 {m}^{2} - 576{m}^{2}$

$= \: 100{m}^{2}$

ii. Remaining portion = Inside area

$= \: 576 {m}^{2}$

$Rate \: = \: Rs. \: 45 \: per \: {m}^{2}$

Cost = Area × Rate

= 576 × 45

= Rs. 25920
