with the path width included sides will become 110m(100+5+5).

area of this new square=110x110=12100m².
area of the original square=100x100=10000 m².
therefore, area of the path=12100-10000=2100m²

vickybatra: u have to subtract the smaller area from the bigger area to find the remaining area
vickybatra: lets wait and see if some other person solves it
nikhilkumar3: this que gives path included in it
vickybatra: you got the answer mate
nikhilkumar3: so 100-5-5 =90 then area =90*90=8100 and other area 10000 so answer is 1900
nikhilkumar3: yes
nikhilkumar3: thanx for hrlp
nikhilkumar3: help
vickybatra: sorry for giving the wrong answer

Area of path = Area of bigger square - Area of smaller square
Side of the smaller square = Side of the bigger square - 2(width of the path)
= 100 - 2(5)
= 90 m
Area of the path = (100)² - (90)² = 10000 - 8100 = 1900 sq m

vickybatra: who asked you to calculate the cost of cementing lol lol haha
