length of rectangle with border = 55+1.5=56.5
breadth of rect. with border= 30+1.5 =31.5
Area of rectangle with border = 56.5 x 31.5
= 1779.75
Area of rect. without border= 55x30
= 1650
Area of border= 1779.75-1650
=129.75
cost of laying stone= 129.75x30
=3892.5

In rectangle ABCD = L =55m

B=30m

In rectangle PQRS. = L=52m

B=27m

We know that,

Area of rectangular pathway=LB-LB

=[55x30]-[52x27]

=1650-1404

=246m

The slab stone in the pathway

for 1m =Rs. 30

THERE FORE,

The slab stone in the pathway

for 246m =Rs. 30x246

=Rs. 7380.
