A path, which is 8 m wide, runs along the inside of the perimeter of a square garden with sides that measure 152 m . Find the area of the path.

Now,

Area of the path = Area of PQRS − Area of the lawn ABCD

= 1276 m2 − 1000 m2

∴ Cost of levelling the path = Rs. ( 8.25 x 276)

= Rs. 2277
