d = 7cm =>. r = 3.5 cm

h = 4 cm

soup given to 1 patient = vol of soup

= π r²h

=[(22/7)×(3.5)² × 4]cm³

= 154 cm³

soup to be prepared for 250 patients = (250×154) cm³ = 38500 cm³ = 38.5L

[ 1L = 1000cm³]

Given :

  • Diameter of bowl = 7cm
  • Height of bowl = 4cm

To Find :

  • Soup to be prepared to serve 250 patients.

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Diameter=7cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Radius=\dfrac{7}{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{Height=4cm}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Volume\:of\:Cylinder=\pi{{r}^{2}h}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{22}{\cancel{7}}\times\dfrac{\cancel{7}}{\cancel{2}}\times\dfrac{7}{\cancel{2}}\times{\cancel{4}}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{154{cm}^{3}}

So , Volume of 1 ball is 154cm³...

Now :

\longmapsto\tt{Volume\:of\:250\:bowls=154\times{250}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{{38500cm}^{3}}

In litres :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{38500}{1000}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{38.5L}
