Answer:

(i) If the plant is homozygous for the dominant trait

AA. * aa

(axial ). ( terminal)

Aa Aa Aa Aa

all plants are at axial..

(ii) If the plant is hetrozygous for the dominant trait

Aa. *. aa

(axial) (terminal)

Aa Aa. aa aa

50% are axial flower and 50% are terminal flower

Conclusion : If all progeny show axial flowers (dominant) the plant is homozygous (AA) , If 50 % of Progeny show Axial flower (Dominant) and 50% Terminal flower (Recessive) the plant is heterozygous

Answer:

if the offspring produced by the test cross is 50% purple and 50% white flower then the genotype of the purple flower pea plant is heterozygous dominant (Pp). If all the flower produced is purple coloured then the genotype of the purple flower is homozygous dominant (PP).
