A peeled egg when dipped in water swells while in saturated brine solution it shrinks. Why?

due to the osmosis process , the eggs plasma mebrane acts like a barrier and allows only selected material to pass through.
the water is less dense than saturated brine

it swells because of the water is hypotonic solution. the water has less concentration than the cell so the water moves into the cell of peeled egg and therefore it swells.
it shrinks in brine solution because the solution has more concentration than the cell so the water comes out of the cell.
