A peice of metal od volume 30cm cube has a mass of 252g, find the density.​

Given, Mass M = 252 g

Volume V = 30 cm3

(i) Density d = M/V = 252/30 cm3

= 8.4 g cm-3

(ii) Since, M = 252 g = 0.252 kg

V = 30 cm3 = 30 × 10 -6  m3

Density d = 0.252 kg/(30 × 10 -6 m3 ) = 0.252 kg/30 × (1/1000000) m3

= (0.252 × 1000000 kg)/30 m3 = (25200/3) kg m-3

= 8400 kg m-3
