Answer: 1st pen = Rs 187.5
2nd pen = Rs 62.5
Explanation: so the cost of the set of pen= Rs 250
Number of pens in the set = 2
So the cost of one pen = 3/2 of the other
So there are 2 pens that’s is 4/2 is the cost of pen set so
The cost of pen one = 3/2 of the half of the cost of the set
= 3/2 x 1/2 x 250
= 3/4 x 250
= Rs 187.5
The cost of second pen = 1/2 of the cost of half the cost of pen set.
= 1/2 x 1/2 x 250
= 1/4 x 250
= Rs 67.5
Hence we get the answer.
Hope this helps:)
