Given that 40 oscillations are made by the pendulum for 4 sec.
So, It makes 10 oscillations are made by the pendulum for 1sec.
We know that the number of oscillations made per second (10 oscillations per second ) is called its frequency

∴ Frequency = 10 Hz
Time period = 1/ Frequency
Time period = 1/ 10
Time period = 0.1 sec

  • Time Period

Time period = Time/No. of oscillations in time

→ Time period = 4/40

→ Time period = 0.1 sec

  • Frequency

Frequency = 1/Time period

→ Frequency = 1/0.1

→ Frequency = 10 Hz

Hence, the time period is 0.1 sec & frequency is 10 Hz
