Coming to it definition a pendulum is a weight which hung at a fixed point which van swing freely.

On releasing it the mass of the pendulum causes it to oscillate along the equilibrium position and swing to and fro.

Frequency = no. of oscillations / time = 50/10 = 5 Hz.
