A person earns 1000 in a day. He spends 2/9 of it on transport and 3/8 of it on food. How much money does he save in a day

income a day =1000

spent on transport=2/9 of 1000=2000/9=222.22

spent on food=3/8of 1000=375

savings =1000-(222.22+375)=1000-597.22=401.78
