Solutions :-
Let the Cost price of goods be Rs 100
Given : Profit = 20%
Find the Selling price of goods :-
S.P = C.P + Profit% of C.P
= 100 + 20% of 100
= 100 + 0.20 × 100
= 100 + 20
= 120
Now, We have
Cost Price = Rs 100
Selling price = Rs 120
New Selling price = Rs (120 × 2) = Rs 240
Profit = S.P - C.P
= Rs (240 - 100)
= Rs 140
Profit % = (profit × 100)/C.P %
= (140 × 100)/100 %
= 14000/100 %
= 140%
Hence,
If he sells it at double price then the profit percent = 140%
