Since we know that;

Speed of sound(m/s) =Frequency(Hz) * Wavelength(m)

v = f*λ

speed of sound in air v = 344 m/s

(i) When the frequency f= 20 Hz;

Concerning the above bold equation

344 = 20*λ

λ = 17.2 meters (Answer)

(ii) When the frequency f= 20 kHz= 20*10³ Hz;

Again concerning the above bold equation

344 = 20*10³ *λ

λ = 0.0172 meters (Answer)

So typical wavelength that a person can hear is in between 0.0172 meters to 17.2 meters.
