Answer:

Malnutrition is a condition that results from eating a diet which does not supply a healthy amount of one or more nutrients. This includes diets that have too little nutrients or so many that the diet causes health problems. The nutrients involved can include calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins or minerals.A lack of nutrients is called undernutrition or undernourishment while a surplus of nutrients cases overnutrition.

Solution :-.

A person has patchy skin, bleedy gums and dry skin and hair. The person is suffering from the deficiency of Vitamin C. Actually Vitamin C is very essential for our body. It prevents a disease called Scurvy. Scurvy disease causes bleeding gums and skin problems. Problems like rashes, itching, dry skin, pale gums, swollen gums, etc. are the symptoms of Scurvy. In order to prevent it a person should eat many citrus foods which are sour in nature. The sour taste and a little acidic nature helps a lot to prevent Scurvy. Vitamin C is very essential to fight against this disease. Vitamin C can be obtained by by sour and citrus fruits and vegetables for example Tamarind, Lemon, Orange, etc.

Yes by the conditions shown here it seems that the person is at the risk of mineral deficiency as well. Because dry hair is the major cause of mineral deficiency. Dryness of skin and its wearing and tearing are even the cause of mineral deficiency. Actually mineral deficiency is mainly caused by the decrease in ion content as well as aqueous (water) content of the body. This causes the skin to dehydrate and remain dry. Even this also causes other problems like dandruffs.
