Answer: 36 Notes 50 Rs and 60 Notes 10 Rs

Ratio of notes 3:5

Ratio of rupees 150:50

Total rupees - 2400

150*2400 ÷ 200 = 1800 rupees of 50 notes so 36 notes of 50

and 600 rupees of 10 notes so 60 notes of 10

Ratio of notes 36:60

Answer:

here rs 50is considered as 3x and 10 as 5x

we should find the number of notes

therefore

3x×50=150x

5x×10=50x

150x+50x=2400

200x=2400

x=2400/200

x=12

now

3x=3×12=36

5x=5×12=60

so he had 36 rs 50 note and 60 rs 10 note

proof

36×50+60×10=2400

1800+600=2400

2400=2400

hence proved
