a person invests rs 5000 at 5% p.a. simple interest for a certain period of time and earns rs 750. if he earns 720 on 6000 in same period of time what is the rate of interest?

750= 5000×5×t/100
t=75/25
t=3yrs
now
720=6000×3×r/100
72/18=r
r=4%

CP=Rs.5000
Profit=Rs.750
SP=5000+750=Rs.5750
SI=5000×5×n/100
750=25000n/100
75000/25000=n
n=3years

Again, CP=6000
SI=720
n=3years
SI=6000×r×3/100
72000=18000r
r=4%
