a person moves 30 m north and then 20 m east and finally 30 root 2 m south west what is the displacement from the original position?

CD = 30√2 m

We need to find AC:

AC = √(30)² + (20)²
AC = 10√13 m

Then,

Displacement = CD - AC
                       = 6.4m

He starts from origin and he moves 30 m North , then 20m East then finally 30√2m South- west .
displacement = final position - initial position .
displacement = OC
= BC - BO
here BC = 30√2 m
and BO = √{30² + 20² } = 10√13 m

hance,
displacement = (30√2 - 10√13 )m
= 6.37 m
