to solve this question , we use the formula 2v₁v₂ / v₁ + v₂
v₁ = 4 m/s
v₂ = 6 m/s
by substituting the values in the formula ,
= 2 × 4 × 6 / 4+6
= 48 / 10
= 4.8 m/s
