Weight in air = 50 Kg

Upthrust = Volume x density x acceleration due to gravity

              = 40 x 1 x g     {Volume = mass/density ;density of water = gm/cm^3}

              = 40 gf

Thus, Weight of water displaced = Weight of body in water = Upthrust on body = 40 Kg

Therefore weight of person lost when in water = 50 - 40 = 10 Kg
