a person produced a sound with siren near a cliff And echoes were heard after 5 seconds find the distance of Siren from cliff if the velocity of sound waves produced is 220 metre per second

Given ;
Velocity = 220 m/s
Time = 5 sec

Speed = Distance/Time
220 = x/5
x = 1100 m

Twice of Distance = 1100
Distance between the siren and the cliff
= 1100/2
= 550 m

velocity , v = 220 m/s
Time , t = 5 sec

Distance = d

2 d = v × t
      = 220 × 5
      = 1100
d = 1100 ÷2

d = 550 metres

Distance of Siren from cliff  = 550 m
