Average= total sum of quantities/total number of quantities.

We know, there are 4 quantities given.

So,

Average weight of tomatoes per rupee= (1 + 2 + 3 + 4)/4

=10/4

= 2.5 kg/rupee

Therefore, the person has purchased 2.5 kg of tomatoes per rupee.
