a person reaches a specific distance once by walking and once by running in which situation his legs pain?why?

when he starts running anaerobic respiration starts taking place in the muscles and lactic acid is produced and it gets accumulated in it.this is the reason why our legs start paining

Walking and running both will require muscular activity of legs. During running the muscle activity will be in enhanced form which will lead to the production of lactic acid from stored form of glucose in the body due to anerobic respiration in oxygen deficiency
