a person releases a coin from his fist of his hand. which force acts on it? can this happen without this force?

When the coin from his fist falls down,Gravitational force acts on it. because the coin falls towards the earth, (down).
This cannot happen without this force.
because the gravitational force makes the coin fall downwards.
if you can't understand this still.
Imagine you throwing a coin in space where there is less gravity. the coin won't fall down it will only float because of no gravitational force.
