Let the ratio be 12x : 10x

Savings = income - expenditure

∴ Savings = 12x - 10x = 2x

1800 = 2x

x = 1800 ÷ 2

x = 900

Income = 12 × x

Income = 12 × 900 = 10800

Monthly Income = 10800 ÷ 12 = 900

∴ The person's monthly earnings are Rs. 900
