A person sell a motorcycle for Rs 40,000 which he bought for Rs 42500 .find his profit or loss percentage

42500 - 40000 = 2500. Loss
Loss %= 2500/42500*100 = 5.88%

Hey mate,

Loss = CP - SP

= 42500 - 40000

= 2500

So loss% = Loss/CP×100

= 2500/42500×100

= 1/17×100

= 5.88%
