A person standing 8 m away from the plane mirror moves 2 m towards the mirror. Find the distance between the person and the image formed.​

Total distance - distance moved = distance from mirror

8 - 2 = 6 m

Now , since the distance between him and the mirror = distance between his image and mirror

We get , 6 + 6 = 12 m

Therefor the distance between image and person is 12 m
