Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Distance of the near point of his eye = 50 cm.

● Explanation -

For the normal person, least distance of distinct vision is 25 cm. Given that person uses convex lens of focal length 50 cm. Now let v be distance of near vision.

Using lens formula,

1/f = 1/v - 1/u

1/50 = 1/v - 1/-25

1/50 - 1/25 = 1/v

1/v = -1/50

v = -50 cm

Hence, the distance of the near point of his eye is 50 cm.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
