He can see less than infinity only up to a distance of few metres(or even less).

here 1/f=p=1.25 ,the lens make the image such that the objects at infinity is made at the farthest distance he can see clearly without spectacles
therefore v is to be found and u=infinity
1/f=1/v-1/u
