A Person travelling at 43.2 kmph applies breaks giving a decelaration of 4 meter per second square to his car find the distance travelled by the car before it comes to rest.

The distance travelled by the car before it comes to rest should be 18 metres.

U = 43.2 km / he = 43.2×5÷18=12m/sec V= 0 m/sec a= - 4 m /sec square According to formula V square = u square +2 as 0= 12×12-2×4×s 8s=144 S=16 m
