Initially, he is at (0,0) and he moved 12 km north so his current position is (12,0) and then he moved 16 km east, so his final position will be (12,16).
Now, you have to calculate the distance between these two points: (0,0) and (12,16), which is under root of 12^2+16^2 = 20 km.
Answer : 20 Km
