A person travels the total distance in two parts in the ratio 2:1 with constant speed of 30 km/h in the first part and 40 km/h in the second part. What is the average speed of the journey

Let assume that :

first part of the total distance =2x

second part of the total distance =1x=>x

time taken for the first part of the total journey(t1)

=2x/30=x/15

t2=x/40

Total time=x/15+x/40=11x/120

average speed =total distance /total time taken

=>3x/(11x/120)

=>3*120/11

=>360/11

=>32.72kmph
