A person walks 3 km towards North, then turns right and walks 4 km. Find his displacement; both magnitude and direction
Please help me to find direction!

solution:

Displacement is the shortest distance between initial & final position.

Magnitude of displacement
 \sqrt{ {4}^{2} + {3}^{2} } \\ \sqrt{16 + 9 } \\ \sqrt{25} = 5
So, magnitude of displacement= 5 km

Direction of displacement is North- East
