A person who is vain is full of self importance and can only think of
himself/herself and can go to great lengths to prove his/her superiority.
Do you think Mrs Packletide is vain? Give reasons in support of your answer.

Yes, Mrs. Packletide was a vain woman because to get the skin of a tiger she goes to the extreme of the lengths by giving thousand rupees to the villagers to shoot the tiger. She wanted to appear in front of everyone by becoming famous. She also bought the weekend cottage for Mebbin to prevent her to not tell anybody that the tiger is dead. With all the show off and lies, it is proved that she was a vain.

A person who is when is full of self importance and only thinks of himself or herself.To prove his priority over others he or she can go to an extent and hypocrite a one who believes in pretensions and mere show off even if he or she does not possess that thing in reality.


Mrs packletide is a living example of bodies character traits she is so Vain that loona bimberton adventurous feat arouses in her a lot of jealousy and in order to prove her superiority she decides to do something that could easily outside her Rival.Just to satisfy her ego she decides to shoot a tiger although she is far from the adventurous and risky affairs.She crosses all limits and stages the drama of tiger hunting with the help of some villagers. How much hypercritical is Mrs packletide is evident from the fact that she poses before the cameras with pride arranges that the news and photographs of adventure are published in newspapers and magazines. She organises a luncheon and flaunts a lot with her Tiger skin rug and her proud posture.It was her pretentious nature that she didn't want the truth behind the tiger's death revealed. For this she pays a hefty amount to miss mebbin to keep your mouth shut.
