Answer:

391 .5 rs

  • length of the photo frame 24 cm long
  • length of the photo frame 24 cm long breadth of the photo frame 18 cm wide
  • length of the photo frame 24 cm long breadth of the photo frame 18 cm wide total length of frame after putting wood piece having 2 centimetre wide adge = 24 +2+2=28cm
  • length of the photo frame 24 cm long breadth of the photo frame 18 cm wide total length of frame after putting wood piece having 2 centimetre wide adge = 24 +2+2=28cmtotal breadth of the frame after putting wood piece having 2 centimetre wide edge= 18 +2+2 = 22cm

To Find:- find cost of adgingg the frame at the rate of 2.25 rupees per square centimetre

Solution:-

Area of inner frame=Length xBreadth

24 \times 18 = 432 {cm}^{2}

Area of outer frame = Length x Breadth

28 \times 22 = 606 {cm}^{2}

Area of Edge = Area of outer frame - Area of inner frame

Area of Edge = 606 - 432  = 174 {cm}^{2}

Now:-

cost of 1 cm square adging= 2.25 rupees

Cost of 174 sq cm edging = 174 x 2.25= 391.5 rs
