A picture is painted on a ceiling of a marriage hall whose length and breadth are 18m and 7m respectively. There is a border of 10cm along each of it's side. find the area of the border.

As a border of 10 cm each is made

A new small rectangle is formed of length 17.8 m and width 6.8 m

Area of rectangle =17.8*6.8=121.04

Area of border =126-121.04=4.96 m sq
