Breadth of the picture

b = 7 b = 7 m

Length of the picture including border

L= 18 + 0.1 + 0.1L = 18 + 0.1 + 0.1 m

or, L = 18.2L = 18.2 m

Breadth of the picture including border

B = 7 + 0.1 + 0.1B = 7 + 0.1 + 0.1

or, B = 7.2B = 7.2 m

Area of the border

= Area of the picture with border - Area of the picture

= 18.2 × 7.2 - 18.× 7= 18.2 × 7.2 − 18 × 7

=131.04 - 126 = 131.04 − 126 m²

= 5.04 = 5.04 m²
