Explanation:

If 5 ml of water is displaced by totally submerging a 10 gram object then yes the density is 10 g/5 ml x 1 ml/ cm3 = 2 g/cm3. This is twice the nominal density of water. Since it is heavier than the volume of water it displaces it will sink.

The water level rise however will depend on the surface area of the container that it is submerged into. And any fluid level rise would be stated in cm.
