A piece of chapatti went chewed for some time taste sweet. Explain why this happen?

chappatis have carbohydrates. longer chewing of the food causes the carbohydrates to mix with the salivary amylase . this gives a sweet taste. therefore when the chappati is chewed for a longer time it tastes sweet

When a piece of chapatti went chewed for some time it gives sweet taste because chapatti have carbohydrates which mixes with salivary amylase when we chew it for longer time and hence gives sweet taste .
